Antai Dry-type Transformer Passes National QA

Recently, Suzhou Antai Transformer Co., Ltd.'s independently developed new-generation energy-saving dry-type transformers completed full type-test inspection at the National Electrical Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center. Core indicators including no-load loss, load loss, short-circuit impedance, and temperature rise met or exceeded national standards, marking a new milestone for Antai Electric in green intelligent power equipment.

Background: The imperative of energy conservation

As China's dual-carbon goals advance, the power equipment industry faces mounting pressure to reduce energy consumption. Dry-type transformers are widely used in urban buildings, rail transit, data centers, and industrial parks, where no-load losses account for a significant share of grid transmission and distribution losses. Developing ultra-low-loss energy-saving dry-type transformers has become a key industry priority.

Antai Electric launched a dedicated energy-saving dry-type transformer R&D program as early as 2023, focusing on amorphous alloy core materials and winding process optimization. After more than two years of iterative design and prototype validation, the new product has entered the market access stage.

Testing process: Rigorous standards, data-driven results

Testing was conducted per GB/T 10228 and IEC 60076 standards. The national inspection agency performed full type tests on 14 parameters under rated, overload, and extreme temperature-rise conditions. Results were independently verified by a third-party laboratory to ensure objectivity and fairness.

Significance: Energy saving, safety, and added value

Passing national inspection qualifies the new product for government energy-saving procurement catalogues and green building certification projects. For end users, lower no-load losses translate directly into electricity cost savings — estimated at RMB 15,000–40,000 per unit over a 20-year lifecycle (depending on load characteristics).

Future plans: Expand capacity, complete the product series

Following certification, Antai Electric plans to expand energy-saving series capacity to 500 units per year in Q3 2026. The R&D team will extend coverage to 315 kVA–2500 kVA and develop dedicated versions for PV grid connection and energy storage applications.
